UK Delivery (Flat Rate) - NOW ONLY £7.50

We print every board especially for you, so all orders are made to order and have a turnaround time. Our usual mission? Getting your boards to you within 4–5 working days (that’s excluding weekends and bank holidays). Need your boards sooner? Get in touch and we’ll always try our best to help. Once your order is dispatched, it jumps on a UK Next Day courier and heads straight to you, arriving the next working day!

Apologies to our international friends — we’re keeping things local for now and only ship to mainland UK. Sorry.

We take up to 24 hours to process your order — orders placed after 12 noon will be picked up the next working day. From there, average delivery to the UK mainland is 4–5 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays).

Once your boards are all wrapped up, they’ll be shipped to the address provided at checkout. All parcels are fully tracked and will require a signature on delivery — so keep an eye out!

We don’t mass-produce our backdrops or leave boards gathering dust in storage. Everything is printed to order, meaning you get beautifully fresh prints every single time, while helping us cut down on waste.

Planet-Friendly Packaging
We care about the planet! All orders are carefully packed in sturdy cardboard boxes to ensure safe shipping. Please recycle or repurpose them wherever possible — every little bit helps.

We also work closely with our brilliant UK-based print team and fellow small business friends to bring your order to life.

Not going to be home?
Not home when the courier calls? No worries! A card will be left so you can easily rearrange delivery at a time that suits you. If you miss it, the courier will usually try again the next working day. And if you’ve got any questions about a missed delivery, just give us a shout — we’re always happy to help.

My parcel is late
Please allow up to 7 working days — occasionally, delays can happen that are outside our control. If your parcel is taking a little longer than expected and you’d like an update, just drop us an email and we’ll happily look into it for you. All of our parcels are tracked door to door, so we can usually locate yours quickly and keep you in the loop.

Based in sunny England, our small team pours love into the creation of every board design and sends them out to homes across mainland UK.

Your boards are mini magic for photographers — lightweight, portable, and ready to transform your setups! Printed in high-definition on smooth, durable PVC, they mimic your favourite surfaces so you can mix, match, and move them in a flash. Think of them as your secret weapon for creating new staged environments… fast.

At 3mm thick, they’re strong, sturdy, and built to last. The matte finish keeps glare away, and the scratch-resistant coating gives them extra toughness. Spills? No problem! A quick wipe with a damp cloth is all you need — just stick to water.

They handle most items with ease, but a little care goes a long way: avoid dragging objects, steer clear of hot plates or pans, and try not to leave food sitting for ages. Some foods may stain, so minimize direct contact where you can.

Treat them well, and your boards will reward you with endless opportunities for gorgeous photography — your setups will never look the same again!

We stopped selling flexible surfaces in our store in the summer of 2022.

As customers always preferred our boards anyway it was a no brainer for us to make a move in this direction.

Many flexible backdrops on the market today are plastic based, such as PVC, vinyl & banner materials. They are not particularly recyclable & most of them end up in landfill, continuing to release dangerous toxins for decades to come. Incinerating them only produces more harmful chemicals into the atmosphere. We wanted to take better steps for a better future.

So, we’ve gone green!
You can shop with confidence knowing that our boards are made from fully recyclable materials!

We accept all major debit/credit cards. We also accept PayPal & Apple Pay. Please enter your payment details at the secure checkout. The Phormery is part of the ShotByLucy® network & payments will appear on your card statement as 'SHOTBYLUCY'.

In a word, no.  You can use your new boards wherever you want, whenever you want. However, reproduction of the image content is strictly prohibited, as is reproduction & resale of our products.  The Phormery retain copyright of all imagery but please feel free to use them as backdrops for your social media snaps & in your online stores.  It’s not compulsory, but we’d appreciate, that where our surfaces have been used/featured in the press, on a website or social media, that you include the hashtags #gotphorm #thephormery or @thephormery. For printed material please include ‘The Phormery’ or ‘THEPHORMERY.COM’ (where possible).

If, for any reason, you are unhappy with your surfaces, please email info@thephormery.com within 48 hours of the delivery, so that we can help resolve the issue. We want you to have a happy shopping experience & we will do our best to find a quick resolution for you. We do ask that the buyer covers the return postage where surfaces are not faulty/damaged. Returns/exchanges requested outside of the 48 hours will not be processed. Once your return has been approved, please ensure that the return is delivered to us within 7 working days of return approval or your return will not be processed. By continuing with your purchase, you agree to these terms. Please contact us with your order number & we’ll let you know where to return them. ‘Colour Match’, ‘Create Your Own Surface’ & custom size backdrop options are non refundable, but a credit note may be given at our discretion.

ARRANGE A RETURN

We do our absolute best to pack your boards carefully to ensure they arrive safely. However, sometimes items can get damaged in transit & that's beyond our control. If your new boards arrive damaged, please let us know within 48 hours of delivery so that we can resolve the issue quickly. We will need your order number, date of purchase & details of damage (photos of damage too if possible) sending through to info@thephormery.com so that we can investigate further.

REPORT A PROBLEM

We try to ensure that all imagery on the website is as accurate as possible, however please keep in mind that due to monitor calibration & variations in printing processes, there may be some variation between the image on screen & the printed product. This also applies to colour surfaces. We may use customer images on our website or share them on our social media platforms but we’ll always tag/include a photo credit. Please select the option at checkout if you prefer us not to use your images, if left unchecked, you agree to these terms. Discounts are not valid on gift cards. Please also note that our social media images may have filters applied.
